1) Before touching the mask, rub your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water.
2) Check that there are no holes or droplets on the mask before use.
3) Place the mask on your face by keeping the ropes/rubbers at the top.
4) Put the upper and then the lower ties of the mask on the back of your head.
5) Press the nose part of the mask with two fingers to ensure that it fits your face properly 6) Make sure that the mask fits your face well and there is no air leak.
7) If you have used your mask with a visor and/or a surgical mask on it, you can use it 5 times by following the correct wearing and removing rules. In this case, ensure hand hygiene immediately after putting on the mask.
8) Do not reuse your mask after an aerosol-generating procedure (bronchoscopy, intubation, extubation, aspiration and upper respiratory tract sampling) or if it is contaminated with body fluids or if you cannot breathe comfortably, dispose of it in medical waste.
9) Remember that the outer surface of your mask is dirty, do not touch the outer surface with your hand. Maintain hand hygiene after removing your mask or every time you unintentionally touch its outer surface.
